Long-term or short-term management: which one for your property?
1 min read
This is the first question to ask before renting. Both can pay. They do not require the same work or the same kind of property.
Long term is stability. One tenant, one lease, predictable income every month. Less daily management, thinner margins, but peace of mind. It is often the right call for a city plex or a unit in a residential area.
Short term is potential. Nightly income far exceeds the equivalent monthly rent, especially in a tourist region. But it demands cleaning, coordination, real marketing and compliance. It is often the right call for a cottage, a condo near an attraction, or a principal residence in a permitted zone.
The trap is choosing by habit instead of by math. The same building can earn very differently depending on the mode you pick.
We manage both. We look at your property, your area and your goals, and we tell you honestly which one makes sense. Sometimes it is a mix of the two.
