Beyond Airbnb: the channels that fill your empty nights
1 min read
Most managers put your property on Airbnb and wait. That is one door. Real income comes from opening several doors at once.
Direct bookings save you the platform commission. That amount stays in your pocket. Corporate means stays paid on a company budget, by people who pay for reliability, not for a discount. Insurance and displaced families mean long guaranteed stays paid by the insurer after a loss. Film and TV shoots are the highest paying channel for a short stretch. Employee relocation is turnkey furnished housing paid by the employer. Construction crews fill the week when tourism is slow. And medical, travelling nurses and consultants, gives stable medium term stays.
None of these sources fills on its own. It takes contacts, a presence on several platforms and a price adjusted every week.
That is exactly what we do. More channels, more filled nights, more income, especially in the stretches when your neighbour on Airbnb sits empty.
